Hello and Welcome to the official website of the American Society for Public Administration’s LGBT Advocacy Alliance Section!

My name is Dr. Chris Surfus. I serve as the Vice Chair of the ASPA LGBT Advocacy Alliance section. I also serve ASPA as the President of the ASPA Michigan Capital Area Chapter. I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of New Hampshire’s Institute on Disability. This Fall, I will be starting as Faculty at Western Michigan University’s School of Public Affairs and Administration, which is where I graduated from with my Ph.D. in Public Administration last year.

I just wanted to take a moment to welcome you to our new website. The website is currently under development, so updates occur regularly to website content.
